This statement describes which cookies and similar storage VMM Utrecht VOF uses on vmmvoegwerken.nl. We keep the list limited to what the website actually does.

What are cookies and local storage?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Local storage (localStorage) is similar: data stays in the browser until you clear it or the site removes it.

We only use what is needed for the site to work, for your cookie choice, your language choice, for securing the quote form (server-side) and, if you use a map or log in, for that specific feature.

Essential storage on this site

These are needed for basic operation or security. They are not used for marketing tracking.

  • vmm-cookie-consent (localStorage) - remembers whether you accepted cookies or want essential cookies only. Without it, the cookie notice appears again.
  • vmm_locale (cookie, 1 year) - remembers the language of the website you chose or were shown on your first visit.
  • vmmOffice_session and vmmOffice_challenge (cookies, HttpOnly) - session and login step for the secure dashboard and customer portal. Only set after administrators or customers with an account log in. Not intended for visitors of the public site.
  • vmmOffice_theme (cookie) - remembers in the dashboard whether you want a light or dark screen. Only for logged-in administrators.

Analytics and marketing cookies

At present VMM does not set any analytics or marketing cookies of its own (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no similar trackers in the site code).

The cookie notice does offer the choice 'Accept all' / 'Essential only'. That choice is stored; no extra tracking cookies are currently activated with 'Accept all'. If we add analytics later, we will update this statement and the notice.

Third parties that may set cookies

Some parts load content from third parties. Those parties may use their own cookies or similar technology. We do not control their cookies.

  • Google Maps - on the contact page and in the quote wizard (address map). The map only loads after you choose 'Accept all', or when you click 'Load map' yourself. Google may then set cookies under Google's privacy policy.
  • Facebook / Instagram - outgoing links only (no embedded widgets or pixels on this site).
  • Brevo (email) - sends quote emails via the server (API). No Brevo script runs in your browser.
  • PDOK Locatieserver - used server-side for address and postcode suggestions in the quote form. No client-side cookies from PDOK.
  • Hosting / platform (e.g. Vercel) - may use technical logs or security measures at server level; these are not marketing cookies on this site.

Spam prevention and server logs

Requests through the quote form are checked server-side for abuse (including IP address, time and form behaviour). These events are kept for up to 90 days to secure the form. This does not happen through cookies in your browser.

Managing cookies

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the 'Change cookie preferences' button on this page. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
